SUGAR MILL ROUTE

The tour begins with a trip to the municipality of Campo Alegre, more precisely to the Caraçuipe sugar mill, which has been in existence for over 90 years, where you can learn about the history of the place. Besides learning about the entire cachaça production process, including aging in European oak barrels, you can also taste and purchase their cachaças, including award-winning ones. Without a doubt, an incredible experience in Alagoas. On the return to Maceió, there will be a stop at the Barra de São Miguel viewpoint to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Alagoas coast. The tour then continues to another sugar mill: “Engenho da Barra,” where you can learn about and taste their products, and finally, lunch.
